I have spending days upon end in the library studying, studying Nonviolent approaches to terrorism, Crimes Against Humanity and understanding what genocide is and how it should be approached. I have been studying the relations between the the U.S. and Canada and how our geography effects those relations. I must say I think I am going to enjoy this term tremendously. I get so tired of sitting in class waisting time, with this online format I am free to study ahead if I want and have a more direct communication with my professors. If I have an idea at 1am I have the means to express myself. Soon I will be reading these books in deserts of Mexico.
This is the plan, on monday the 12th I will head to Eugene and spend the night at my Moms house. Tuesday I will head east then south, taking back roads and highways to Redding California. With me on this part of the trip will be my dad and my sisters boyfriend Will, I think.
On the 14th I will begin riding alone, I should arrive in Valencia California (for those of you that don't know, that is where Magic Mountain is, right as you enter Los Angeles County) and I will spend the night at my grandmothers house. I am hoping to spend the following night in Downey at my Tia Maggie's and Tio Mando's house. On the morning of the 16th I will cross into Mexico at the Tijuana crossing.
I will have until the May 3 to ride around Mexico with no obligations, I will camp and visit friends I hope. May 3 I start classes at the University of Guadalajara CEPE.
